Former Timberwolves center Greg Stiemsma knows the amount of work it takes to play basketball at the highest level. He won four Wisconsin high school state titles, played for the Wisconsin Badgers, and professionally oversees NBA D-League and four campaigns in the NBA.

Undrafted, the 6’11, Stiemsma kept working as he toiled four years in the D-League and in Europe before getting his chance in the NBA. He was named the D-League’s Defensive Player of the Year while playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in 2010. Known for his tenacious defense and shot blocking, he played a year each for the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors.
