Sports are life-changing activities that instill important qualities into athletes and build lasting friendships and memories. Participating in sports teaches teamwork, leadership, and social skills, as well as respect, humility, and discipline—many of us were taught these qualities by coaches and volunteers of sports organizations that we were a part of growing up. We are forever grateful for their impact on our lives—they were, and often still are, our heroes.
At SportsEngine, Inc., we build applications and services to help the heroes of today spend less time on the administrative activities of their organization and more time teaching the qualities of Sport to their athletes. They inspire every one of us every single day. Everything we do, we do for the Love of Sport.
Sport Relationship Management (SRM) is a strategy for connecting and managing relationships between people and organizations through all levels of sport. An SRM system helps governing bodies, leagues, clubs, and teams connect with members, families, and fans to share data, streamline reporting and approvals, and manage programs with intuitive software.
We’re on a mission to make youth sports a more rewarding experience for athletes, parents, volunteers, administrators, families, and fans.
Join us on our mission to simplify the lives of parents, coaches, and sports organization administrators, and to get more kids involved in sports.
SportsEngine was founded in 2008 by college roommates Justin Kaufenberg and Carson Kipfer. Both grew up as youth athletes, playing multiple sports with parents that served as coaches and team volunteers.
Over the years, the pair witnessed firsthand the frustrations that youth sport coaches and administrators faced—long nights of shuffling through paperwork, countless hours spent collecting payments, and last-minute phone calls to families about schedule changes. Simply put, their parents were spending far too much time working and not enough time doing what they loved.
Knowing there had to be a better way to manage a sports organization, the duo dreamed up a solution, and the vision for SportsEngine was born.
Since then, we’ve evolved from being a tenacious startup to a leading corporation with nearly 500 employees stationed across the United States. We’ve grown to be “The Home of Youth Sports” by bringing many youth sports-related apps and services into the fold and joining forces with NBCUniversal in 2016—becoming part of the NBC Sports Group family.
While the company has grown, our vision, culture, and values have remained the same. We continue to serve the needs of youth athletes and parents, coaches and team administrators, leagues, associations and national governing bodies with the mission of enhancing the youth sports experience for all and furthering the Love of Sport.
