Lake State Alpine Racing

Lake State Alpine Racing strives to make skiing a lifelong sport. To do this we create a safe environment where we prioritize the fun of the racer over the heat of the competition. Thanks to a large team of experienced coaches, our skiers learn how to ski before they learn to race. Designed for ultimate flexibility, our program’s price and schedule reflects our mission to make skiing accessible to all.

The DTeam at Hyland has been in existence for 34 years. In 2019, the team was rebranded as Lake State Alpine Racing and organized as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in the State of Minnesota. We have a board of directors that oversee the program and all funds we receive are used for LSAR programming needs. Lake State Alpine Racing has a legacy of building strong skiing and racing skills, while making skiing fun for racers. The race component of LSAR adds elements of challenge and competition while weekly practices allow racers to focus on their technical skills in smaller groups.
