JGTBA is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide a basketball program that improves the individual and team basketball skills of young women in grades 3 through 8 in the Bloomington School District with coaches that have sound knowledge of the game of basketball and the ability to work productively with young women in teaching the game and to provide a high level of basketball competition.
JGTBA is a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). Donors can now deduct contributions they make to JGTBA. Under 501(c)(3), the IRS further classifies organizations as public charities or foundations. JGTBA is also classified as a 509(a)(2) public charity since its funding comes from multiple sources (e.g. player fees, tournament revenue, sponsors, etc).
