Sports Are What I Do, They Are Not Who I Am

Rachel Wood is an American soccer player for the Boston Breakers of the NWSL. She first played as a midfielder for Boston and recently switched to centerback due to her height. Prior to joining the Breakers, she played with HK/Vikinger in Iceland. A native of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Wood played in college at North Carolina and UC Irvine.

When athletes get to the top ranks of their sports, they often think that other people only think of them as an athlete. In this video, Wood talks about how even though she's been a top soccer player all her life, she knows that soccer is a big part of her life but doesn't characterize who she is.
