Dr. Katz, Public Health & Preventative Medicine Specialist Says Play Ball

Mike Kolesar of the USABL interviewed Dr. David L. Katz, founding director of Yale University’s Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center who has too many credentials to list, but is well-versed in all things coronavirus. Dr. Katz provides an unbiased professional opinion on the topic of return to play.

Viral transmission of Covid-19 during an outdoor activity like baseball, in Dr. Katz's opinion, is an "extremely low-risk activity" for healthy individuals. Coupled with the fact that youth sports participants are the lowest risk demographic, he would, in his words, not hesitate to let his kids play today.
