Karate Explained Featuring Sakura Kokumai

Karate will be in the Olympics for the first time, so Rutledge Wood gets a first-hand look at the sport with the help of Team USA's Sakura Kokumai. There are two different forms of Karate. Kumite uses padded gloves, as well as shin and ankle guards, and you compete against an opponent. Kata, on the otherhand, is a solo routine that must be performed in order, it can be compared to figure skating without the music.
