Three-Time Olympian Galen Rupp's Advice for his Four Kids

Galen Rupp wants his kids to grow up knowing that hardwork and discipline can get them a lot of places, and he wants them to be able to look to him and see that's true.

"As a father, I hope I can inspire them to really go after their dreams and show them that if you really want to go after something," Rupp said, "it takes a lot of hard work and discipline and hopefully when they’re older they can realize that more and more but I’ve always been one to try and lead by example."

Fun Facts

Rupp is a Oregon native and attended the University of Oregon where he won five NCAA titles during his final season. He is a three-time Olympian and has two medals under his belt - silver in the 10,000m at the 2012 London games, and bronze in the marathon at the 2016 Rio games.
