Updates to Tourney mean faster calendar changes, similar views from page-to-page, and public settings all in one place
It’s been a whirlwind couple months for our Tourney team. Since May, we’ve helped tournament directors from across the country set up nearly 100 tournaments featuring thousands of teams!
A few months ago we added the calendar view that gave schedulers an ideal at-a-glance visual layout. Plus, with the drag-and-drop feature, moving games around is a breeze. Today, the calendar is even better because scheduling or rescheduling happens ten times faster. Now, when you make a change to the schedule, it will be reflected on both the calendar and game list view in a second. This is especially important for large events and those with several administrators. Timing is everything when that giant thundercloud overhead bursts open on tournament day, leaving you and your team scrambling to update schedules! It’s imperative changes are reflected immediately.
Many more improvements are happening behind the scenes. These adjustments may not be drastically noticeable, but we’re sure you’ll happier with the overall performance of the Tourney system. For instance, we’ve updated the look and feel of the application to give you a better user experience. As you navigate from page to page, you’ll notice screens will look similar, helping you tab through tournament set up with ease.
Another notable enhancement is that you’ll now find “Public Site Preferences” under the Settings tab rather than having it hidden under Divisions. This way, when you want to determine what brackets, scores or standings will be published publicly, you can make the update in one easy-to-find place.
Stay tuned next month when we roll out some bigger changes in how you interact with Tourney. We’re working to make tournament management even easier. You’ll be able to set up your divisions and match ups from a single page!
Thank you for for telling us how Tourney has made your life so much easier. Now you can actually turn your attention to the kids and the competition! That’s what it’s all about.
