Advanced Event Systems (AES) Joins with SportsEngine
AES acquired by SportsEngine
AES has been serving volleyball clubs and tournaments for nearly 15 years. They have the most experience of any technology provider in the volleyball industry, and they are also the most respected. Over the last year, the SportsEngine and AES teams have been talking about how we can combine AES’ amazing technology, service, and affinity within the volleyball community with SportsEngine’s vision for a complete sports platform for clubs, admins, parents, athletes, and the community. We also asked volleyball customers already enjoying SportsEngine to let us know who they felt offers the best software, customer service, and customer experience in volleyball. The answer to those three consistently came back “AES”.
“AES is the most powerful suite of volleyball competition and event management technology and services in the industry” said Justin Kaufenberg, co-founder and chief executive officer at SportsEngine. “When you combine their technology solutions, their value added services and their team with the SportsEngine platform, you have a really exciting whole product solution for all levels of the volleyball market.”
2016 will be a year of focus for SportsEngine. One core theme next year will be a focus on doing amazing work on behalf of a smaller number of sports. Volleyball has been one of the fastest growing sports on the SportsEngine platform, and one that we are committed to becoming a technology leader for. To that end, we are pleased to announce that we have acquired Advanced Event Systems (AES), the unquestioned leader in volleyball event management technology.

“As we’ve grown, we always knew that providing the best experience to our customers would require us to either put significant investment into scaling our applications, or we’d need to join a technology platform.” added Brad Preston, AES owner. “In the end, we knew that our customers would benefit far more by joining SportsEngine. Together we’re going to significantly enhance the way volleyball clubs, tournaments, and leagues run. I couldn’t be more excited.”
There is a lot of momentum as we approach 2016. With the launch of Team Center, youth sports organizations and parents around the world have been raving. They love their new team management features, including unlimited team texting, practice/game RSVPs, and upgraded mobile features, which are available to every team on SportsEngine for no additional cost. Last week, we securely processed the 1 billionth dollar through SportsEngine and announced that 3-day funding is the new standard payout schedule for our customers. A big milestone recognizing the value created in the past, and our commitment to creating even more value in the future.
And now, we enter the new year with the combined talents of AES and SportsEngine.
Welcome to the SportsEngine family.
