Alpine Skiing

Mikaela Shiffrin first hit the slopes of Vail at age 3, and it's been all downhill from there. She became the youngest woman in U.S. history to win a World Championship and the youngest athlete (male or female) ever to win an Olympic slalom gold medal. She's carved her own path ever since clicking into a pair of skis, and now she’s one of Team USA’s favorites for a medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
