TeamUnify’s Spring Cleaning Guide

Spring Cleaning Header

During this unprecedented time, situations for clubs are changing daily, if not hourly. We recognize that it can be very difficult to make decisions that are best for your club when no one knows exactly what is going to happen next. Since this has come to fruition, we have formally laid out a TeamUnify resource guide to help you with common actions that clubs are taking right now.

We’ve also chatted with several customers, just like you, to gather best practices, intel, and new ideas to implement during this time to ensure your club is running as smoothly as possible. Through doing this, we have collectively learned a lot about the determination, perseverance, and ability for so many of you to adapt quickly to an ever-changing situation. Keep it up!

A lot of administrators and coaches have found themselves with some extra time on their hands, considering the current circumstances. Given their desire to continue supporting their swim club, we have taken note of some of the most practical checklist items that can be taken care of now. Almost like a spring cleaning of sorts.

Reach below for the three most common tasks our TeamUnify admins have taken care of ahead of time, to ensure they are ready to go when their club is back to normalcy.

TIP #1

Prep for your next registration

It’s always that sweet spot of about three weeks before your next registration goes live, and there is a mad dash to set it up properly so it’s fully functioning by the time you open it up for your members. Maybe you had no changes from the previous registration you set up, but maybe you wish you would have had time to set it up in a different or better way than last.

Now is a great time to start thinking about how you want your registration to function for your next season. Do you want to change your age restrictions? Perhaps allow more or less kids than the previous season? Is there a new policy you and your club have wanted to implement?

Take a peek through these how-to guides to set-up your next registration now:

TIP #2

Update your website

There are some absolutely, rockin’ websites out there from TeamUnify customers. During the season, it’s usually a lot easier for admins and coaches to add new photos, teamfeed posts and articles to their website to show off the latest and greatest of what their athletes have achieved.

During a more down period, it may be a great opportunity for you to audit your website, add some more content, and stay engaged with your members.

Haven’t had a chance to upgrade to the new CMS yet? Simply fill out this form and your account manager will help you get started.

Here are some of our favorite websites:

Maxwell Swim Club
Wycombe District Swimming

TIP #3

Clean your member database

Oftentimes, our customers get caught up in the hustle and bustle of day-to-day tasks with their swim club- writing workouts, coaching, sending emails, the list goes on. This means some of the more tedious administrative tasks get put on the back burner. One of these tasks that is always a great practice, is cleaning up your member database.

Do you have a ton of old accounts listed as active in your database? For ease of reporting, messaging and building out teams, now is a great time to audit your accounts and move some of them to a suspended or canceled status.

Check out the video below for the best way to do this:
