Blue Chip Youth Sports Partners With SportsEngine To Transform Flag Football Organization Management

SportsEngine, the leading youth sports team and club management technology platform, today announced a new multi-year partnership with Blue Chip Youth Sports, one of the largest flag football organizations in the world. The collaboration names SportsEngine as the exclusive provider of online member management, registration, and payment solutions for all participating Blue Chip leagues.

SportsEngine’s collaboration with Blue Chip comes at a pivotal time for the organization as flag football continues to experience rapid growth. As the world’s fastest-growing sport, flag football is played by more than 20 million people in more than 100 countries and across all age groups and genders. According to the International Federation of American Football, 2.4 million kids under 17 are playing organized flag football in the U.S. The sport itself is set to be an official sport at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Blue Chip Youth Sports is at the forefront of this growth, with more than 40 leagues and 30,000 young athletes participating in its programs throughout North America and, most recently, Narita, Japan, its first entry into Asia. The organization’s reach continues to grow, providing flag football opportunities to youth from all walks of life and further solidifying its place as one of the largest flag football organizations globally.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Blue Chip Youth Sports to help bring their flag football leagues the benefits of SportsEngine’s cutting-edge technology,” said Dan Burquist, Senior Vice President, SportsEngine. “Our platform will help streamline operations, simplify registration and payment processes, and ultimately provide a better experience for the athletes, coaches, and parents involved in these leagues. Together, we can build a more efficient and seamless experience for all participants.”

“This partnership with SportsEngine is an exciting step forward for our organization,” said Patrick Williams, CEO, Blue Chip Youth Sports. “Their technology will enable us to better serve our athletes and their families while continuing to expand flag football to new regions and leagues. We look forward to seeing how our collaboration will improve the overall experience for everyone involved in our programs.”

With flag football gaining momentum as a mainstream sport, this partnership will help facilitate its continued growth and success, making it easier for leagues to manage their operations and for families to get involved in the sport.

Ian Wallace Head Coach Brentwood Swimming Club

"The app has been very well received by our club's parents. The seamless integration between the app, the database, and our website has been an outstanding feature - saving us significant time while also enhancing the overall experience we provide. While the setup process involved some complexity, the support from the technical setup team, sales team, and our dedicated support representative was excellent."

Ian Wallace, Brentwood Swimming Club
Chris Collingwood Scotia ASC Treasurer

"We have found switching over to SportsEngine motion beneficial in so many ways. The website builder is excellent and allows us to build a tailored website in a straightforward way. We use the social feed all the time to communicate with members. The competition & event side of things is easy to pick up and intuitive. The best new tool is the Motion mobile app. Parents find it so convenient and easy to use. SportsEngine were so helpful transferring us for our previous supplier and made the process a lot less daunting. I would definitely recommend it any club that is finding their current software not up to standard"

Chris Collingwood, Scotia ASC Treasurer
Swim Bournemouth

It’s significantly easier for members to enter meets. The fact that swimmers' times are held within the system means that parents can easily see what events swimmers are eligible to enter makes it so much easier to get in the correct events and lowers mistakes. Since we have been using SportsEngine Motion, the number of entries to meets (swimmers and swims) has increased by 25% year on year.

Paul McGregor, Swim Bournemouth
Nova Centurion

The SportsEngine Motion mobile app, specifically, saves us so much time. It easily saves each of our coaches an hour a week, just taking into account the group emails and messages before. Right there, that’s 500 hours of time saved throughout the year.

Nathan Hilton, Nova Centurion
Wandsworth Swimming

The card payment processing system has been a massive time-saver for me as treasurer. I used to receive more than 100 individual standing order payments into the club accounts which I had to manually allocate to swimmer accounts. That took at least 8-10 hours per month. With automated card processing now fully up and running at our club, the number of individual payments is down to less than 10.

Adam Wall, Wandsworth Swimming Club
