Athletes: check out some of these handy reflection questions and practices you can use during these times.

Write-down some of the emotions or feelings you are having due to recent events around you. 

How did you mentally prepare yourself for a big game, crucial shot or something that made you nervous or fearful? Did it help?

Spend time on the phone or on-line talking through your thoughts, views, worries with fellow teammates. Turn defeated discussion into uplifting and optimistic conversation. 

How does the belief that your sports are something you do, not something you are, influence your mindset? Positive self-talk. 

Sports Are What I Do, They Are Not Who I Am. Avoid The Extremes: Keep Both Success And Failure In Perspective

Reflect on all the positive things sports participation has provided for you up to today - write/type them.
