Athletes to Watch: Mallory Weggemann

Minnesota native Mallory Weggemann's swimming career began just like any other young athlete. But an injury that left her paralyzed from the waist down forced her to alter her path. Weggemann was inspired to get back into her sport after one of her sisters took her to watch the U.S. Team Trials for the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. She has since become a two-time Paralympian and gold medalist, and she is looking to shine on the world stage once again at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
